 Chemistry Honor Society

 2011 Gamma Sigma Epilison

Nine students were inducted into the Gamma Sigma Epsilon Rho Nu chapter on October 14, 2011. This is amazing since the required chemistry GPA for the society is 3.3/4.0. The students inducted include Jenna Bailey, Maura Jones, Michael DeLyser, Ben Schultz, Mara Weinzierl, Travis Rosmus, Laura Smith, Selam Woldemeskel, and Trina Perrone. Congratulations!

The Chemistry Department faculty and students working with Gamma Sigma Epsilon National Chemistry Honor Society have established a new chapter at Saint Francis University. The honors organization was established as a fraternity in 1919 at Davidson College by two soldiers returning home from World War I to recognize excellence in chemistry. In 1931, the fraternity became an honors society. Gamma Sigma Epsilon has over 50 chapters in over 20 states with over 13,500 members since its induction.
