DiSepio Institute for Rural Health & Wellness to Offer Peer Support Group for Grieving Young Adults
The DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness at Saint Francis University, in partnership with Home Nursing Agency, will offer a peer support group entitled “Healing Talk” designed specifically for young adults who have experienced a significant death (parent, sibling, grandparent, close friend, roommate, other relative, etc.) This program, open to people ages 18 to 30, provides a safe environment where grieving young adults can discover they are not alone in their grief by interacting with others who have encountered similar experiences. Available at no cost, this group is ongoing and will be held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month beginning September 16 at the DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness located on the Saint Francis University campus in Loretto. The group is facilitated by specially-trained staff and volunteers. For further information, or to register, call (814) 472-3923 or visit www.francis.edu/DiSepioInstitute.htm
