Saint Francis University improves in U.S. News rankings again

U.S. News and World Report magazine’s annual rankings of “Best College,” to be published Tuesday, ranks Saint Francis University 51^st among the north’s master’s degree granting universities, a gain of 14 places over last year’s 65^th place ranking and 24 places over its 75^th place ranking in 2008.

“This is more evidence of the great work our faculty and staff are doing in improving academic quality,” said the Rev. Gabriel J. Zeis, T.O.R., president of Saint Francis. “Our overall student profile has improved with higher SAT scores, more of our students having been in the top 25 percent of their high school class and more students applying for admissions to our university. We also have more classes that are smaller in size, which greatly enhances the learning environment for our students”

There are 171 universities ranked in this category; Saint Francis is 51^st of 87 in tier one. Saint Francis is eighth among the 17 Pennsylvania institutions in tier one.
