Saint Francis University and the Graduate School of Business and Human Resource Management are accredited by Middle State Association of Colleges and Schools and the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE)
Admission Requirements
- An application with two essays along with a $30 fee (resume optional)
- Two Letters of Recommendation
- Official Undergraduate Transcript(s)
- Students with an overall grade point average above a 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or students with four (4) or more years of professional work experience are NOT required to take the GMAT exam. Students who already hold an advanced degree will also be waived from the GMAT exam. Official GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) scores must be sent directly from Pearson-VUE. Tuition\Fees
$836 per credit ($2,508 per course) for the Academic Year 2011- 2012
Graduation fee of $185 payable at the beginning of the student's last semester.
Locations
The program operates in two locations:
Loretto - Saint Francis University Campus
State College - South Hills School of Business and Technology
For your convenience classes are also offered in Altoona at the Sheetz Corporate Offices and in Johnstown at the Memorial Medical Center
Financial Aid
- Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford loans are available to all students taking six credit hours or more a semester. The Office of Financial Aid at the University will assist students in applying for these loans

- Institutional financial assistance is made available through Graduate Assistantships (GA) for officially accepted students who enroll on a full-time basis (nine or more credits per semester.) A GA is eligible to register with up to full tuition remission for 18 credits during an academic year. Fees and tuition costs of additional credits are the responsibility of the GA. The student is expected to work an average of 20 hours for 15 weeks during the fall and spring semesters. For more information please contact the Career Services Office at (814) 472-3019.
Class Schedule
Classes are offered in the evenings, and occasional weekends to accommodate students who work full-time and need to attend on a part-time basis.
Semester Start Dates - Fall (last week of August), Spring (mid-January), Summer (early to Mid-May)
Curriculum
The MBA curriculum consists of 9 required courses (27 credits) and 3 elective courses (9 credits) for a total of 12 graduate courses (36 credit hours excluding the basic core). A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 must be maintained throughout the program to graduate. Students have five years from their initial enrollment to complete the program.
