International Admissions Application Process

International students are encouraged to apply to Saint Francis University for the Fall or Spring semesters. Saint Francis University operates on rolling admission. It is recommended that international students submit their complete application by the dates listed below. Applications received after these dates will be considered on a case by case basis.

International Application Deadline

Fall Semester – August 1st
Spring Semester – December 1st

  • Application for Admission, including a $30 non-refundable application fee.
  • Official secondary school (high school) academic records (transcripts, certificates, diplomas, mark sheets) with certified English translations. Transcripts must be translated by the high school or an international credential evaluating agency. World Education Services is recommended
  • If you are a native English speaker or study in a secondary English-speaking school, SAT or ACT are required. Specific majors may require SAT or ACT. Please contact the International Admissions office for details
  • International Students whose native language is not English must submit proof of English language proficiency. The following are ways in which you can satisfy the language proficiency requirement:
    • TOEFL, IELTS or iTEP scores, or IB score of 5 or higher on the English A 1 or 2 exams.
  • Essay or Personal Statement
  • Letter of Recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor.
  • Additional information required of International Transfer Students:
    • Previous coursework from international colleges and universities will be considered for transfer credit on a case-by-case basis. For courses to be considered for transfer credit, they will need to be submitted to an international credential evaluation agency for a course by course evaluation. These courses must be a C grade or better and comparable to a course offered at Saint Francis

International Scholarships

  • Students will be considered for merit scholarships based upon the overall strength of their application materials.
  • To apply for financial aid, students must submit Saint Francis University’s International Financial Aid application

Immigration Requirements

  • Saint Francis University will issue an I-20 to students who complete the following steps:
  • Students must be accepted to Saint Francis.
  • A Saint Francis University International Financial Aid application must be filed.
  • The affidavit of financial support must be submitted.
