 Lisa Devineni PhD, CRNP, NP-C Assistant Professor Department of Nursing Chairperson | Diploma in Nursing, Conemaugh School of Nursing B.S.N., Nursing, University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown M.S.N., Nursing Education, Indiana University of Pennsylvania CRNP, FNP, Post Masters Family Nurse Practitioner, Penn State University NP-C, National Certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Ph.D., Adult and post secondary education, Capella University As a nurse practitioner for more than ten years, I am at home both in the clinic and in the classroom. I created and designed the nurse practitioner position at the Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center Wound Healing Center. I was attracted to the challenge of growing the nursing enrollment at Saint Francis and linking student experiences to the DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness and the Center of Excellence for Remote and Medically Under-Served Areas (CERMUSA). I have been on the nursing faculty at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, the Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center School of Nursing, where I also served on the curriculum committee and student nurses association of PA, and Mt. Aloysius College. My professional presentations have focused on preventing skin problems, wound healing, aging with disabilities, and Doctoral Dissertation and research. I have served on a medical ministry trip to Haiti, served to start the Johnstown Free Medical Clinic, appointed as a board member and volunteer for the Johnstown Free Medical Clinic, a volunteer with the American Red Cross disaster relief and as a medical provider for families of Flight 93 passengers in September, 2001. |  Cindy Drenning, MSN, CRNP Assistant Professor of Nursing | I graduated with a BSN from Penn State University in 1975, and a MSN from West Virginia University in 1999. I am certified by the ANCC as a Family Nurse Practitioner, with clinical practice expertise in hospice and palliative care. during my nursing career I have worked primarily in community health home health, hospice, school health, public health, and parish nursing. I taught for 10 years at West Virginia University as full time faculty and have taught at Penn State University as adjunct faculty. |  Kim Forst, MSN, RN Instructor of Nursing | I received my Associates Degree in Nursing from Mount Aloysius and worked at Conemaugh Hospital in Telemetry for 2.5 years, then the Cardiac Cath Lab for 2.5 years. After my time at Conemaugh I took a job with Home Health as a field nurse and was promoted to team leader for the next 15 years. While I was working in Home Health I went back to school and received my BSN from UPJ, and my MS in Nursing Education from IUP. I now teach the sophomore and junior levels here at Saint Francis University and will be helping to prepare the seniors for their NCLEX - RN exam. |  Trevah Panek, MSN, RN CCRN Assistant Professor of Nursing | I received my Diploma from Temple University Hospital, then my BSN and MSN from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I went on to earn docotral credits from Duquesne University. My specialty is critical care nursing with 30 years clinical experience, and psychiatric nursing with six years of clinical experience. I have been teaching at Saint Francis Univesity for quite some time and I teach mainly juniors and seniors, pathophysiology, critical care and professional nursing seminar. |  Jean Samii, PhD, RN Professor of Nursing | I earned my BSN from the University of Wisconsin, my MSN in maternal-child nursing with a focus on nursing of children at the University of Pennsylvania, and my PhD from University of Pittsburgh in higher education administration. I have additional post-graduate work in child development from University of Pittsburgh, and community nursing from LaSalle University. My professional work has been primarily teaching at schools of nursing including schools in Philadelphia that include University of Pennsylvania and Albert Einstein Medical Center School of Nursing, and in the Johnstown-Loretto areas that include Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Saint Francis University. The majority of my career has been at Saint Francis University Department of Nursing where I have taught many of the nursing courses with an emphasis on care of children and care in the community. I have worked as a staff nurse in oncology nursing, pediatrics and in the intensive care nursery. I started the school nurse certification program at Saint Francis University, and am certified school nurse. I have been the nursing department chairperson until January 2009 when I stepped down to the role of nursing faculty.
|  Heather Vitko, BSN Skills Lab Coordinator | I graduated from Saint Francis University, when it was still Saint Francis College, in the Nursing Program and have worked in Pittsburgh and Johnstown. My areas of experience include, Hospice, Home Health, Rehabilitation, Case Management, Medical/Surgical, and Telemetry. Currently I am the part time Skills Lab Coordinator here at Saint Francis University. I have been employed for the past 10 years at Conemaugh in the Trauma/Critical Care Unit and teach in the Sim Lab. I also teach injury prevention programs and junior acheivement in my children's schools. |  Camille Wendekier, MSN,RN,CRRN Instructor of Nursing
| Prior to working in the nursing department, I worked at Saint Francis University for the past six years as a Telehealth Research Specialist at CERMUSA (Center of Excellence for Remote and Medically Under-Served Areas). I served as the primary investigator on diabetes and wellness research protocols, focusing on improving access to healthcare education for patients residing in rural and medically under-served areas. I have 14 years experience in various nursing roles, including community outreach, rehabilitation admission liaison nursing, acute rehabilitative nursing, school nursing, medical surgical nursing, and oncology nursing. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and School Nurse Certification from Saint Francis University and my Master of Science in Nursing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. |
